Today is rest day, and I decided to walk the 25 minutes it takes to go to the hotel near the base camp and have a real shower. After 5 days, it was appreciated. I also wanted to leave a note to Ryan (the guy I met on the flight to Argentina and with whom I hung out in Mendoza) and his group, summits of hope. I found Christina here, who, due to altitude sickness, had come back down, but informed me that their summit day was today, and they would call from the summit to their website if they made it. So we waited until their turn around time (the time at which you turn around, no matter whether you've summitted or not, because it's been decided that keeping on going any later could be dangerous) and then checked out their website. Christina and I spent a couple of hours chatting together, and it was really nice to know how their trip went.
The internet here is half the price it is in base camp, so I think I will be making the trip more often...
